Happened on the piece in the Leader-Telegram today. As a writer who loves the same kind of travel you are taking, I will live vicariously through you! Can’t wait to see where you will go and who you will meet. Enjoy the journey!

I would really love to use your blog as a way to show my students different areas of the world from a first hand perspective. 🙂 Thank you for sharing your journey.

Read the article about you guys in the Milwaukee Journal (I currently live in Slinger, WI). Very cool to take the leap and experience the world. Wishing you both the best. Have fun!

Good luck as you head out on this adventure! I’ll be watching from Muskego while I remain in the ‘rat race’!

Hi, you two! Found out about you when Laurelyn sent out an e-mail with the link to the newspaper article. WOW! I’m SO envious. What a great adventure you’re embarking on! I enjoy things vicariously, and appreciate your willingness to share the journey with armchair travelers! 🙂

Someday, after you return to the States, and perhaps come to visit Laurelyn in Oregon, I’d love to invite you out to kayak with us in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge! 🙂

I enjoy traveling. Unfortunately, I don’t have the flexibility to get up and go as often as I would like. So years go by between trips. What you two are doing sounds perfect! Instead of simply talking about traveling, you set your plans in motion. Good for you. I look forward to hearing what you discover about the various cultures you run into. See how their customs differ from ours and enjoy them while you are there. Best of luck to you two.

RIght back atcha, Grusz. I tried to get a chance to call you one more time before we left, but there was just so much to do. Glad to have you along on the trip!

It’s December 26, 2011 and I am re-reading these delightful well wishes from people we don’t even know. It really is heart warming. While we have had some amazing experiences, travel like this is very hard, exhausting, emotional some days. It’s so nice to know people are rooting for us. Thanks!

May you all have a blessed New Year and may your dreams come true!
